There are plenty of reasons to visit one of the world’s biggest and most vibrant cities, London, but picking the right time of year to pay a visit can be vital. Whether you are interested in sports, live entertainment, great history or just submerging yourself in city life then London has it all.
The summer is probably the best time to consider visiting London as a number of events are taking place during that time. June sees the world’s elite tennis players unite to challenge for the ATP’s most coveted Gran Slam, Wimbledon. Away from sport you may be a keen music lover and festival goer, if this is the case then consider heading to England’s’ capital to experience the Glastonbury festival which also occurs during the month of June. Explore London by visiting the likes of Buckingham Palace, St Paul’s Cathedral, Tower of London, London Bridge and of course the iconic Big Ben.
